  1. Coral Bay is the big harbor on the east end of St John US VI......geezehhhh

very quiet, very laid back........rent a Jeep and have adventures driving on the left on semi decent roads!

good restaurants and art galleries and a bunch of people to take you sailing...see www.sailbreath.com for one........

  2. Beaches:

    Lambshur (sandy & remote)

    Kittle (rocky & remote)

Salt Pond (REALLY sunny, sandy, and snorkely)

    Haulover (small, park & plop)

    Dining:

    Sweet Plantains (in season)

    Skinny Legs (Burgers)

    Island Blues (music)

Private Chefs (romantic dinner at the villa)

    Miss Lucy's (Sunday Brunch)

    that deli at coccoloba (sandwiches)

    Active:

Reef Bay Trail (call NPS for boat pickup at the bottom)

St. John Land Sharks (Triathalon, 8 Tuff Miles)

    Sailing and Fishing (various charters)

    Kayaking

    Lazy:

    Donkey Rides

    Drinking (villa, beach, bar)

    Horseshoes (skinny's)

    Doing what Honeymooners do (anywhere)

  3. Coral Bay isnt on St John, its on St Thomas... when you go to St John, you must go to Trunk Bay.

EDIT* Doh Forgive me... Coral WORLD is on St Thomas. Coral Bay is on St John. This is what happens when you rely on childhood memories. I did live there til I was 10. On St Thomas, not St John.

  4. We split our time on St John between Cruz Bay and Coral Bay because we love both sides of the island.  Coral Bay is even more layed back if thats possible.  We stay at Concordia eco tents and just love it.  You'll want to hit salt pond bay and possibly take the rams head trail over to drunk bay to see the sculptures left by previous visitors (possibly leave one of your own).  we love the beach at Vie's snack shack and the food is good too.  There was wonderful snorkeling off the left side of the bay out to pelican rock, Vie can point it out to you.  There are also Lamshure Bay and Little Lamshure Bay for beautiful, unpopulated beaches and lastly Haulover Bay.  We have had good food at Island Blues and there is live music there on certain nights of the week...check ahead.  We also liked Aqua Bistro for dinner and of course the restaurant at Concordia.  The is also a wonderful bakery in the same outdoor mall where Aqua Bistro is that makes great baked goods (dont remember the name)  There is horseback riding in Coral Bay and enough shopping to do some damage to your credit card.  You will love it!!!

  5. And St. John's is in Antigua.  The island in the USVI is St. John.
