Question:

St. Louis, MO Limo or Van rental

I would like to rent a 12 passenger Limo for the Rams game. Is there any good deals out there? I will be visiting from NJ. I thought about getting my own van but nothings seems to be working out for the van, otherwise, it would be nice to have something to tailgate out of. There are no decently priced van rentals over there at the airport.

  1. I gave this same answer yesterday to someone looking to rent a van for the weekend. I know my buddies and I have rented 15 passenger vans for Bachelor parties. We rented one from Sunset Ford and another one from a place called Broadway Truck and Van Rental. The only problem would be that they likely wouldn't be able to pick you up at the airport.  If you really wanted a van for the weekend though to get everyone around it might be an option and would likely only be a couple hundred bucks.

Hiring a limo and driver might be a lot more, especially if you need them on a Saturday, as they seem to really jack up the limo, and limo coach prices on Saturday because of all the weddings.  The limo coach we rented for our wedding in 2003 was easily $600-700 for four hours.

Good luck finding something that will work.

  2. One of the most comprehensive sites to check is http://www.stlouislimos.com. They have all sorts of choices for you to consider. Considering that you are going to be paying for the services of a driver, I'm not so sure that a limo will be any cheaper than a van rental but probably more fun. Enjoy the game.

  4. I am a little ticked off with trying to rent a conversion van from Lakeside Storage and Rental.  I called early in July to ask about a van rental for early Aug.  I spoke with a man (I did not ask his name) and gave him the dates (8/8 - 8/11) I was interested in renting.  He gave me the price which seemed to be fair, and told me that I could get unlimited miles...which was usually reserved for a week long  rental.  I did give him my name and the dates, but he did not write my name down reserving a van.  I stopped my search and I did not really follow up as I should, but I expected to be able to call when I got to St L (8/7) and all would be good.  I wasn't.  They did not remember talking to me and would not give me unlimited miles as we discussed over the phone.  I had to start all over searching for a rental van, which I am getting from Sunset Auto.  They really worked with me to get a good price.  Lesson learned from my role in this mess.
