Against Washington Redskins
After losing three straight games with big margins, no one was expecting Rams to display marvels. Their status shifted from bad to worse when the Redskins visited them in Week 4.
Redskins had won two of their three games when they played against St. Louis Rams.
Their quarterback, Rex Grossman, was not having an ideal time, but still they were able to dominate the feeble Rams, who did not utilise the opportunity of playing against a weak offensive unit.
Redskins scored a touchdown each in the first two quarters, and managed a field goal in the third.
Rams, who got their first scoring move in the final, added 10 points after a touchdown and a field goal, but they were still seven points behind and lost the game, 17-10.
At Green Bay
After a bye week, Rams travelled to play against the defending Super Bowl Champions, Green Bay Packers, who had not lost any game in the season.
The exploding Packers’ offence, led by quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, completely rattled Rams’ defence.
Rams did play relatively well in the second half of the game and did not allow any scoring move to the Packers. However, they were also unable to score in the second half.
Packers had a three-point advantage after the end of the first quarter, thanks to a field goal by Mason Crosby.
Rodgers displayed his magic in the second quarter and sent three touchdown passes before Rams scored a field goal, which was their only scoring move of the game.
Bradford struggled to carry on with the playing drives as his rushers faced difficulties in reaching Packers’ end zone.
He finished with a quarterback rating of 76.9 after completing 29 passes off 45 attempts for 328 yards.
At Dallas
Rams’ losing streak had gone to five when they faced Dallas Cowboys, who only added to the former’s worries.
The problem was nothing new for the Rams. They once again failed to get scoring drives and at the same time allowed the opponents to score freely.
Bradford was replaced by A.J. Feeley, but the change still did not help the Rams.
Feeley completed 20 passes off 33 attempts for 196 yards. He failed to get a touchdown and instead threw an interception, getting a quarterback rating of 64.7 after the game.
Cowboys scored four touchdowns and two field goals in the game, while the only scoring move for Rams came when Steven Jackson scored a rushing touchdown in the second quarter.
Dallas Cowboys won the game, 34-7.
Against New Orleans Saints
The threatening New Orleans Saints were the next visitors, who were hyped to hand Rams their seventh straight defeat, but the visitors failed to do so. Both, New Orleans and St. Louis's fans were shocked as the hosts stunned the visitors.
The Rams struggled on defence, but the offensive unit, especially the rushers, performed really well to give the team its first victory of the season.
After a scoreless first quarter, Rams, against all odds, were dominant in the second as they scored two touchdowns and a field goal to register 17 points on the board.
They scored another touchdown in the next quarter, before the Saints launched their first scoring drive.
Saints scored two touchdowns in the final, while Rams got one to end the game, 31-21, in their favour.
