At Arizona
After beating New Orleans Saints, St. Louis Rams visited Arizona to play the Cardinals.
This time, they were not the losers. Although they had only won one out of their seven games, their recent success had made them favourites against Cardinals.
Rams tried to build on the momentum and played considerably well against the Cards. However, their defence was still struggling.
As a result, the Cards scored in the final quarter to level the score and force the game to overtime, in which they scored a touchdown to beat Rams, 19-13.
Rams' defence did play well at the start of the game, but got back to its old ways this season, towards the end, giving the game away.
At Cleveland
Rams got what they were searching for throughout the season.
The defence was outstanding against Cleveland Browns, who could not score a single touchdown throughout the game.
Browns scored four field goals in the game to get 12 points.
However, when Rams' defence started shining, their offence behaved completely opposite.
Rams did win the game, 13-12, but they could only score one touchdown and two field goals.
It became evident after this game that Rams were lacking team chemistry and were struggling to perform as a unit.
They had bad days in store after this game.
Against Seattle Seahawks
When it comes to winning, Rams struggle to perform as a unit, but when they lose, everyone contributes.
After getting two wins in their last three games, some were expecting Rams to at least give a tough time to the opponents, but their last seven games were an example of sheer failure despite the wins.
Rams scored a touchdown in the first quarter against Seahawks and that was it.
Seahawks responded by scoring three touchdowns and a field goal to win the game, 24-7.
Bradford was still finding it difficult to silence his critics. He completed 20 out of 40 attempted passes in the game for 181 yards, while throwing one touchdown and an interception, to receive a quarterback rating of 60.5.
Against Arizona Cardinals
The Rams-Cardinals' battle was once again a thrilling encounter, but St. Louis failed again.
They scored a touchdown in the first quarter and a field goal in the second, while Cardinals could score only one field goal by that time.
However, Cardinals played extremely well in the third quarter and got two touchdowns and a field goal to take a 10-point lead.
Cardinals’ quarterback, John Skelton was struggling to gain yards, but the rushing unit remained on its toes to ensure that Rams stayed behind.
Rams levelled the score in the final quarter, but gave away a field goal later that gave Cardinals a decisive three-point lead, settling the final score at 23-20, in favour of Cardinals.
At San Francisco
It was undoubtedly the toughest fixture for Rams.
San Francisco 49ers is one of the league’s best defensive units, and they proved it by not allowing Rams even a single scoring move.
49ers scored a field goal in the first quarter and two in the second to get a nine-point lead at halftime.
They got a touchdown and another goal in the third, which was ensued by another touchdown in the final quarter.
The final score settled at 26-0, a humiliating loss for St. Louis Rams.
