St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher appreciates San Francisco 49ers – NFL News
St. Louis Rams are gearing for yet another tough challenge as they are scheduled to play Week 10 game against National Football Conference (NFC) West leaders San Francisco 49ers.
Rams are currently placed at the bottom of NFC West, and facing the 49ers, who are coming off their bye, will not be an easy task. Rams are already dwindling down in the division after starting the season with high hopes.
They, however, have managed to beat their last season’s record and hoping to add a few more victories to their basket to end the season on a positive note.
To achieve the victories Rams need to work really hard on offence as well as defence. Offensively, 49ers’ running game is incredible and their passing game has also started yielding better results for them. On the defence, 49ers are rated among the best
defensive teams.
In such a case it will not be easy for Rams to get past the 49ers. Even their head coach Jeff Fisher has acknowledged that 49ers are one of the best-coached teams in the National Football League (NFL).
According to the details present on 49ers’ website, Fisher told Bay Area reporters via conference call:
“I can’t remember having to prepare for an offense that was so well-coached and so diversified in the run game and so talented. Then you add the multiplicity of the passing game and (Alex Smith’s) decision-making ability, it’s no surprise to me now that
we’ve looked at them closely that they were able to accomplish what they did last year and what’s ahead of them this year.”
Meanwhile, Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis has also said that it is one of the toughest tasks for the Rams to defend against 49ers. He has appreciated 49ers’ running game, saying that 49ers are a blueprint other teams want to be as a football team. He
said:
“When you have an o-line like that, gosh. They run some weird running plays now. You’ll see some running plays I don’t think I’ve seen since Tecmo Super Bowl.”
Meanwhile, 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has also said that his team is ready to host the Rams.
