St. Louis Rams hoping to have a happy ending to the season – NFL News
Now that there is no denying the reality that St. Louis Rams will not be able to make it to the playoffs, the players and the coaches want to end the season in a better way by winning rest of the games.
Rams will never want to have such a season again. They had a dreadful start and lost seven straight games without winning any. In their last four games, they have managed to win two games to take the season statistics of nine defeats
and two victories. They are currently placed at the bottom of the National Football Conference West division, trailing behind San Francisco 49ers and their mark of nine victories and two failures.
Despite the feeble show, the players are not giving up and want to end the season by winning the rest of the games. The victories, if they get it, will not guarantee their spot in the playoffs, but will be enough to boost the morale
and lift up the mood of the dejected fans.
“We’ve just got to keep fighting, keep fighting and keep working. Every one of the guys in the locker room has good character and is going to do that. I promise you I will be, so you’ve just got to keep fighting,” Rams linebacker
James Laurinaitis said.
Running back Steve Jackson, like all others, was also disappointed for the team’s stained records this season. He regretted that Rams were unable to gain momentum this year and hoped that things in future would be much better.
“You’re playing with guys that are sacrificing, putting themselves in situations that you’ve just got to respond to the call of duty. We’re tired of giving the same excuses. We’re tired of having the same results. I think we, as
a team, practice really hard and prepare week in and week out,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rams’ coach Steve Spagnuolo has attempted to lift up the players’ mood and said that the team is passionate. He appreciated the team’s performance and said that they give their best when they go out on the field. However,
he said that there are some areas where the players need to work out and hoped that by doing so victories could come their way.
Rams are going to face San Francisco 49ers in the week 13 game of the season on Sunday.
