St. Louis Rams jubilant on winning on home field – NFL News
This season has so far proven to be much better than the last one for the St. Louis Rams, who have won three out of their five games and are currently on a two-game winning streak.
Furthermore, they have been able to gain many achievements in the first half of the season.
They have recently defeated Arizona Cardinals, something that no other team could do, to end the latter’s four-game winning streak.
Also, they have been able to defeat two divisional opponents in two straight games. They defeated Seattle Seahawks in Week 4 and now the Cards.
The cherry on top of the cake is the fact that both victories came on Rams’ home field, taking their total number of home victories this season to three.
Rams are 3-2 after five game and have not lost any game on their home field. Furthermore, their third victory of this season surpassed their last season’s record of only two victories.
So much has happened for the Rams and there is still a lot more to come. However, it seems that they are heading in the right direction and their achievements have fascinated them.
According to the details present on the team’s website, veteran running back Steven Jackson said after their recent victory:
“It feels good. I mean, within four days we’ve beaten two divisional teams that are very good. We’re going to have a very tough division and for us to defend our home turf and be 3-0 at home is huge. This team is fighting and it feels good.”
The victories have also lifted morale of the players who are now brimming with confidence, hoping to gain edge over other teams in the division.
At present, Rams are placed at third spot in National Football Conference (NFC) West and this weekend’s game will further clarify the position of every team in the division.
Even if Rams do not qualify for the playoffs, they will have a lot of things to cheer about at the end of the season. Defenseman Chris Long said:
“Every day we step on the field now I feel like we have an opportunity to win the game on defence.  With the offence playing the way they did – pounding the rock and Sam [Bradford] making throws when he had to – that’s a winning formula.”
