St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford happy with progress made by offence – NFL News
St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford has expressed satisfaction over improved performance from the offence that gave a tough time to San Francisco 49ers’ sturdy defence in Week 10 tie.
Rams had been struggling on the offence during the last few games as they were unable to control the ball, make large plays and perform well near the end zone.
However, the game against 49ers saw the Rams performing relatively well in all these areas while giving away less penalties.
This is something that has pleased Bradford, who despite being a bit dejected over not defeating the 49ers, has realised that the team has made significant improvement.
According to the details present on the team’s website, Bradford said of the offence’s performance against 49ers:
“There were several times in that game where we had penalties on first downs where early in the season that was pretty much the end of a drive for us whereas last Sunday we were able to overcome some of those and keep drives going. We sustained long drives
several times against that defence which is not easy to do so I’m definitely happy with the progress we’ve made.”
Bradford maintained that the Rams’ offence can do even better if it controls a few more mistakes. The Rams have not won any game recently, but even during the games in which they were defeated Rams put up a relatively better show on the offence.
The Rams quarterback said:
“I think last week was evidence of what we’re capable of when we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot, we don’t make mistakes.”
Rams still have seven more games left in the season and they can certainly impress the audience with better display on the offence and the defence.
By the looks of the things, Rams are not eying a playoff berth, but anything to end the season positively will certainly help their cause of achieving long-term success as they will be able to start planning for the next season keeping in view this season’s
performance.
Meanwhile, the last few games are important for Bradford as well. He has not yet been able to utilise his full potential and display his true talent and he must work hard to live up to the expectations.
