St. Maarten/St. Martin- Caribbean

Question

My friends and family are taking a trip to St. Maarten next April. I believe we are staying at the Holland House in Philipsburg. Anybody have any suggestions on things to do/places to see on St. Maarten? Doesn't have to be in Philipsburg necessarily.

I didn't spend a lot of time there because I was just passing through on a live-aboard diving trip, but I enjoyed Marigot, the capitol of the French side.  It's very European, with bakeries and sidewalk cafes that remind me of pictures I've seen of France.  The beach the previous answerer was referring to is Orient Beach, and if you're comfortable with that sort of thing it's the most famous clothing-optional beach in the Caribbean.  Clothing-optional means you don't have to go nude but you can if you want to.

I have been there it was about 7 years ago and it was really cool we went into town did all this stuff but we coulndt go to the beach I was only 7 and there were a lot of nudists on the beach
