St. Patrick's Day in Switzerland?

I will be traveling in Switzerland on St. Patrick's Day this year and I am wondering if the Swiss celebrate the Day as we do here in the U.S. Any one know?

  1. Many saints are based on ethnic cultural and are usually only celebrated where there is a large representation of that culture.

    Saint Patrick is one of the cultural saints who is celebrated in the Irish culture and therefore is celebrated in Ireland and the United States which contain the most people of Irish descent.

    In fact, the United States being a large melting pot of many Catholic cultures celebrates many cultural saints and holy days.

  5. You can generally find a drink-up at the Irish pub in Zurich; other than that, not that I know of.
