  1. If Madrid is anything like Seville or Malaga, there will be LOADS of Irish Pubs and bars to take your pick from!!

    Have a good night!!

  2. I don't think they celebrate St. Patricks Day in Madrid. However, there are nearly 50 Irish pubs in Madrid, so if you're looking for a party head to one of the Irish pubs.

You'll find some review and pub address here:

    http://www.irishpubsdirectory.com/Spain/...

    and here:

They all sell the stouts you want.

Madird is a great city, have a great time.

  3. Dear Michael...

Saint Patricks Day is not celebrated "in the rest of Europe"..

That I know of, it is celebrated in Ireland, New York, and Chicago (where they used to paint the river green in time for the parade...Don't know if that is still being done though).

Other than that, it will be celebrated in every irish pub across the world!

(I'll see if I can find the ones in Madrid for you...and be back to edit if I do find any)... Give me til' tomorrow.

The irish stouts are available in most places now... Afraid I can't help with the prices, I'm not a beer drinker myself! But I do buy Guiness at the supermarkets for my hubby, the price there is about € 1,60 up depends on the shop.

    :-)

Here's the Madrid Chamber of Commerce website, I've zoned in on the english version and the pub list for you...

Here's a page from El Mundo (newspaper), it's in spanish, but it says which of the better known pubs are going to have specials for St. Pat's Day (I'd say try Bo Finn)

  4. There are some Irish and British pubs in Madrid.

I lived in Seville many years ago, so, if they do anything...I would be surprised.  They didn't in the old days.

Check with Madridman.com .  He knows EVERYTHING and he's either American or British  (I think he's an American expat.)

  5. Hi

im spanish, i can tell you that We dont celebrate that day in Spain, but anyway in big towns (like Madrid) you may find some irish pubs which that day is celebrated in.

    have fun
