St Patricks day??

Can someone plz tell my what is St. Patricks Day in brief?? Who is St. Patrick?? Why is he soo famous?? How do people celebrate, on this day?? & What is the significance of the Leaf & the colour green?? Im not Irish, So I dont know! thnkx for all the answers.

a boy that grew up in Briton, kidnapped to Ireland @ 16yr. old, he escaped and studied the Bible in Europe, returned to Ireland to preach the Gospel of Jesus after becoming a Bishop, he is famous b/c he did many great things for Ireland, schools, hospitals, churches, the Clover he used to explain the Trinity (God, Son, Spirit) and green is associated with Ireland, March 17 is the day he died and Irish people all over the world remember him on this day, Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and may the luck of the Irish be with you!  Here's to your coffin...May it be built of 100 year old oaks which I will plant tomorrow.
