St Thomas excursions?

Question

What excursions you recommend in St Thomas. I'm going on a cruise on May. Some people say that local busineses there are better than the cruise excursions. I'm going with kids and I'm interested in seeing the most I can and to also try the beach. Somebody also told me that some excursions are funny because the guide does some dancing and singing. Any ideas or advises will be welcome. Thanks

I wnet to Trunk bay fro some snorkling. it was the best snorkling I have ever done. They have an under water snorkling park with signs and a path way that you swim around. Really cool. Trunk Bay has in the past been named a top 10 beach in the world.

Coral World Ocean Park is right next to a family friendly beach, Coki Beach. Coral World is a undersea Observatory.  There are different activities and fees will vary so check the link I provided.The kids will love it.

Coki Beach has no fee and the water is calm for swimming and snorkeling. No worries, getting to Coral World and back to ship, there are plenty of taxis

St. Thomas is one of the islands that is fairly easy and safe to do on your own.  There are a couple of companies that past cruisers recommend for this, or, if you know where you want to go [Coral World/Coki Beach is a good idea for a family and for first-timers], you can get a cab.  

If you do go out on your own, BE SURE you get back to ship on time, as they will not wait for you if you're late.  

You'll want to know which dock you'll be anchored at [Havensight or Crown Bay] in order to figure out logistics.
