  1. the dosage is on the bottle  the effects are a calming result much better than been put on anti depressants

  2. two a day.. it works, yes. Dont do it for longer than a few months, though, there are long term side effects that they've discovered. not sure what though

  3. I tried some once (30 days worth) and can't really say I noticed any effect from it.

Despite that I personally would still prefer to try something herbal like St. Johns Wort before resorting to chemical drug anti depressants.

  4. As a qualified herbalist, I do NOT recommend St Johns Wort, as a pick me up. What you need is a tonic and that is something completely different.

  5. Becareful if you are on the contraceptive pill as it can make you pill not work properly.

Dosage depends on whether you use tablet or liquid form (liquid is yukky!!)

  6. I dont know the dosage, but its an antidepressant, not just a random pick me up, make sure you get some advice from a homeopathist/doctor etc etc, as it doesnt agree with everyone

  7. St John's Wort is available in one-a-day tablets. The effects are reasonably quick and subtle. I am usually bright and cheerful, however, if on the rare occasion that I feel down, St John's Wort is wonderful.

  8. St. John's wort has been extensively studied in Europe over the last two decades, with more recent research in the United States. Short-term studies (1-3 months) suggest that St. John's wort is more effective than placebo (sugar pill), and equally effective as tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) in the treatment of mild-to-moderate major depression. Comparisons to the more commonly prescribed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants, such as fluoxetine (Prozac) or sertraline (Zoloft), are more limited. However, other data suggest that St. John's wort may be just as effective as SSRIs with fewer side effects. Safety concerns exist as with most conventional and complementary therapies.

  9. The dosage is on the bottle but I believe it's two a day. I've used it before, it's great for staying out of the dumps.

  10. Something that really helps me (no negative side effects) and is completely natural is Rescue Remedy.
