Staal moved to Wing?

Question

I'm hearing over XM radio that the Pens may be moving Staal over to wing and possibly on the first line with Crosby.

3 questions:

1.) Why did they get Satan if that was the case? I don't see Fedotenko doing any better than 3rd line scoring.

2.) Staal, as funny as it is, is there best faceoff man on the team... and they move him to wing?

3.) Why would they want to put Crosby through that type of punishment? He did nothing but good things for that team. Putting Staal on that line means he's going to have to do what he did in the SC final and that's everything by himself.

As a huge Pens fan, i'm not saddened that Staal & Crosby are possibly going to be on a line together.

But whatever, until i hear something along the lines of "Staal and Crosby are going to be put on a line together" come out of Ray Sheros mouth, i believe nothing.. Plus, Shero got a lot of wingers, so i highly doubt we need Staal as one too.

& what do you mean "he's going to have to do what he did in the SC finals and that's everything by himself"? Who? Crosby? Staal?

Incase you didn't know, nobody did anything by himself. The whole team was there backing everybody up.

Isn't going to happen.  Staal is primarily a defensive forward, and wings have less defensive responsibility than centers.

Moving Staal to the wing would take away both is best features, his defensive play and ability to win faceoffs.

First off Gonchar, you know it pains me to publicly say this, YOU ARE RIGHT.  

Amber. I'm sorry Staal turned you down. This type of stalking only can be the results of being rejected. I would recommend some serious counseling for this issue. We have all seen it before I'm sure.  We all have felt to a degree the need for revenge. I'm sure it was very humiliating when even his dog walked away from you, but you have to move on.

You claim to be a wings fan yet all you talk about is the Pens.

You called Hasek a bust yet we won two cups, one in net and one as a back up. There was many people other the history of the Wings that could have considered bigger bust. i beg of you to practice a little restraint. If you want to say something say the exact opposite and you will not look quite so ignorant.

i would like a show of hand from people that have seen you have one original intelligent thought.

Staal will play better if he is with Crosby. Take my word.

You can have Satan and Staal on Crosby's line. I'm looking at a Staal - Crosby - Satan line. Sounds pretty good.

Staal was supposedly unhappy being the third line centre.

Quit whining about Jordan please. I'm sure he'll do great with Sidney. Maybe prove all the haters wrong and put up points like in his rookie season.

I heard SHERO say that STAAL will get the icetime that Malones departure left. And rightfully so... its time for him to move up and contribute more. They will base his extension on his play this season. Its all up to him to step up and earn his next contract.

Hmm..  it's too early to tell what's going on.  They need to play the FA market and they need to bring some of their players up from the Baby Pens before anything is finalized.  Hockey Season's a long ways off.

Still, I tend to agree that I like Staal as the 3rd line C, he's the best defensive C that we have on this team.  But if he's gonna be the goal scorer and the hitter that Sid needs on his line, then so be it.

I am going to just answer part of #1, because I am want to leave room for you young girls to cat fight.  lol.

Other than goaltending, Fedotenko was the #2 reason the Lightning won the Stanley Cup in 2004.  Don't underestimate his abilities.  He needs to work on his skating.  The dip looks like Bambi out there sometimes.

My take is stop making posts about Jordan Staal and deleting the others to hide your trail if he supposedly "sucks", the bf is gonna get jealous over this obsession......
