Stacey Keating firm to continue winning form
Stacey Keating of Australia is ready to take on rivals at the upcoming Hero Women’s Indian Open 2012, set to start from November 30th to December 2nd, at the DLF Golf
& Country Club.
Keating is one of the young guns who have been singled out as the strongest contenders, and she is ready to prove this by rattling rivals when she tees off this Friday.
Although young and less experienced than most of the other LET (Ladies European Tour) stars in the roster, Keating has performed amazingly well in some of the recent tournaments, reflecting
she is eager to bag more surprises this season.
Keating appears to have stepped up a winning campaign as she won two consecutive titles recently.
She first took the golfing world by storm after she picked up her maiden LET title in Spain, at the Tenerife Open de Espana Femenino. She then headed to France and recorded her second straight
victory at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France.
It was a stunning performance in every sense, as some observers said that it would help revive women’s golf in Australia.
And it was her excellent putting skills that made the difference and helped the Aussie star outshine rivals. Before she took part in Spain, Keating was being underrated by her critics, and
even her fans were not so hopeful of her abilities.
However, when it came time to show her skills, she did not hesitate. Her short game, which had been a matter of concern for her a few months back, was perfect, helping her make perfect strokes
on the greens.
Keating took part in the 2011 edition of Hero Women’s Indian Open, which Swedish Caroline Hedwall won. The Australian golfer displayed a decent performance as she finished tied for the 12th
position on the leaderboard.
Sharing her thoughts in her latest interview, Keating said that she is fully prepared for the battle at DLF Golf & Country Club. She said that she likes the course, which is likely to go in
her favour when she tees off this Friday.
“Obviously I’m very excited. I enjoyed the golf course. I didn’t see much last year to be honest, apart from the hotel and the golf course, but that was very nice. I’m looking forward to it,”
she said.
