Stacy Lewis signs sponsorship deal with KPMG
Stacy Lewis, who won the last edition of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, reportedly signed a deal with KPMG.
The deal requires Lewis to wear KPMG’s logo on her shirt in all the golf events that she participates in.
According to the details, the defending champion of the Kraft Nabisco Championship sported a company’s logo on her shirt while playing the current edition of the major championship at the Mission Hills Country Club.
KPMG officials recently informed the media about the contract with the American star, expressing their willingness to work with prominent players.
They said that the partnership with Lewis will help both the firm and the star.
The officials said that the deal revolves around LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour, which means that Lewis will wear the firm’s logo in the Tour’s events only.
John Veihmeyer, KPMG Chairman and CEO welcomed Lewis, saying they have long been searching for female players, and picking the world number 9 will prove beneficial for the company’s image and prestige.
“We are thrilled to enter into this relationship with Stacy,” Veihmeyer said.
He added that the officials are happy to have Lewis because they think that golf can become a good platform to export the image of KPMG to regions other than the United States.
He said that the reason KPMG took Lewis on board is that she has been stunning throughout her career, which speaks of her good image in women’s golf.
