Stacy Lewis wins the LPGA Classic, becomes the number one female golfer in U.S.A!
Stacy Lewis has stormed the LPGA, as she won her second tournament of the season at the LPGA Classic.
Her performance and level of play at the LPGA Classic was indeed a sight. She was facing the tough and talented Katherine Hull, who played well, yet, could not stop Lewis from grasping her victory at the LPGA Classic.
Lewis started the day with an amazing stroke play and had an early seven-stroke lead over Hull. She remained consistent and did not let a single chance go by as she marched towards her win.
Lewis is one of the few female golfers who consider consistency as the key factor to achieve glory. It is indeed her consistency with her precision play that has made her one of the best in the world today.
Lewis turned professional in 2008, and joined the LPGA in 2009. She has 4 professional wins to her name, which includes a major championship that she grasped in 2011 at the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
After her win at the LPGA Classic, she is the number one LPGA golfer in U.S.A and is ranked third in the World rankings.
“I'm third in the world now and the top American, I don't even know what to say. I mean it's unbelievable,” said an amazed Lewis.
She has taken an impressive amount of $1.5 million to her hometown, Ohio, with the trophy and the rank of the best female golfer in the U.S.A.
She was also awarded the Dinah Shore Trophy in 2007 for her inspiring start to the game of golf and in the same year, she was named Amateur of the Year by Golf Digest.
Her performance at the LPGA Classic was appreciated by her opponent in golden words. She acknowledged her aggressive play and spoke highly about her winning instinct.
“Catching her was going to be hard. She was playing great. It was probably more a battle for second,” said Hull.
Stacy Lewis is crafting her golf career with all the right moves and is on the path towards becoming the best female golfer in the world. All she requires is a hint of consistency and there is no stopping this talented golfer.
