Stacy Sykora recovering fast after bus accident – Volleyball news
Stacy Sykora, the libero of U.S Women’s National Volleyball Team was down in Brazil to play for the local professional team Volei Futuro when she got injured a bus accident on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.
Her team was supposed to make it to the best-of-three semi-final round’ in the Brazilian Superliga. The accident proved to ‘be a detractor and injured Sykora had to spend one night at the Brazilian hospital. However, the news has been disclosed that she
has been treated properly and is recovering very fast.
The USA Volleyball is staying totally in touch with the player. In the meanwhile, they reached out Sykora’s family in Burleson, Texas and expressed their well wishes her full recover very soon. The Chief Executive of USA Volleyball, Doug Beal told the media
that the Brazilian Volleyball Federation immediately reached out the American iconic player and offered all sorts of help. They are also keeping in touch with USA Volleyball (USAV) and keeping them updated with the latest condition of the injured player.
The three-time Olympian and 2008 Olympic silver medallist, Stacy Sykora has great name in American Volleyball. She has been known as one of the most influential players of US Women’s National Volleyball Team. She has been gifted with great sport skills and
has great fan following in America and in other parts of the world.
The Head Coach of the U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team, Hugh McCutcheon extended his best wishes for Stacy. On the behalf of all the members of U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team, McCutcheon wished fast recovery for Sykora.
Furthermore, he confirmed that she is receiving the best quality treatment. Her American and Brazilian teammates and her fans are all up for Stacy’s support. She is fast recovering and will resume the play very soon.
Sykora has always played an instrumental role in making her team shine at many international competitions. The U.S. has set the target to pave its way to the 2012 London Olympic Games, while Sykora is expected to help the team in catch slot at the Olympics.
