Stade Rennais have Paris Saint-Germain striker Mevlut Erdinc on their radar – Ligue 1 news
Stade Rennais are keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain striker, Mevlut Erdinc, before the end of this season’s summer’s transfer window.
Turkish international Mevlut Erdinc is yet to make his appearance in the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 Championelle. Though he made seven appearances in last year’s UEFA Europa League for PSG, the 24-year-old striker failed to feature in the Europa League playoff against

Rennes are keeping tabs on the former Sochaux man and expect the Saint-Claude-born Turkish national to be out of coach Antoine Kombouare’s plans at Parc des Princes, and might lure him to Route de Lorient.
The Breton-based club are hoping to facilitate the transfer before closure of the transfer window. According to reports, Les Rouges et Noirs had already offered 15 million Euros to les Parisiens, but the bid was rejected by the former President Robin Leproux.
With just two weeks left in this edition of transfer window, negotiations between Les Parisiens and Rennes might soon begin, with an expected offer of 8 million Euros. The likelihood of Rennes landing Rennes is farfetched as the salary that the Turk receives
at Parc des Princes is 100,000 Euros per month, whereas Stade Rennais have a policy of not paying a salary higher than 100,000 Euros per month.
Mevlut will not receive a higher salary but will get a chance to feature in the ongoing Europa League and would also get far more regular playing time at the Breton club.
Mevlut Erdinc will have to think about his future at the capital club as he, currently, is the third striker behind http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Guillaume-Hoarau-c15332 in the hierarchy designed by the French tactician at PSG. With rumours escalating about Les Parisiens’
interest in recruiting another striker, the Turkish national needs to be worried about his future.
Meanwhile, Les Rouge-et-Bleu will not be at a loss if they conclude the deal at 8 million as the sum would repay in full the purchase amount in 2009 from Sochaux. A departure of the France-born http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026 national would make room for a possible last minute transfer
by the capital club. The new owners of PSG hardly seem to be affected by a benefit of 8 million Euros.
