Stade Rennais keepings tabs on Mevlut Erdinç of Paris Saint-Germain – Ligue 1 news
Under contract at ambitious Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain, Turkish international Mevlut Erdinç might leave the Parisian club this summer.
Though the former Sochaux striker has expressed his desire to stay at PSG and wishes to extend his career at the club, the 24-year-old might be packing his backs by the end of this summer. The arrival of Leonardo as the club’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 director would definitely
see a whole lot of changes at the club.
Rumours suggest that Les Parisiens are still in the market for a new striker following the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153. The arrival of a new striker at Parc des Princes could force Erdinç to reconsider his future at the
club.
Fellow Ligue 1 side, Stade Rennais are monitoring Erdinç’s situation at the Parisian club and are ready to jump at the chance of signing the striker. Rennes are already on the lookout for a new striker and have been linked with moves for Matias Suarez (Anderlecht)
and 22-year-old Belgian striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Racing-c40298 Genk).
Last season, Erdinç scored just eight goals for PSG and could be deemed surplus to requirements if a new striker is signed by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056. The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move to English Premier League side Newcastle United but a move never materialised
as the Magpies were not willing to spend more than eight million Euros on the Turk.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew was a long-term of the Turk but the Newcastle manager is now consigned to fact that the youngster wants to stay at the club. “It’s simple for me. If the boy wants to stay at the club be only the third choice and not wanting to come to Newcastle
which for me is a bigger club, then it’s his choice,” said the former West Ham manager.
However, Stade Rennais are still keen on signing the youngster who has scored 22 goals in 51 league games for PSG since joining the club from Sochaux in 2010.
