Stafanie Taylor first female nominee for ICC Cricketer of the Year award – Cricket News Update
Stafanie Taylor, West Indian all-rounder, has earned the honour of becoming the first female cricketer to be nominated for the prestigious http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricketer of the Year award, 2012.
The 21-year-old, who was also awarded Women's Cricketer of the Year in 2011, features in the 2012 longlist for the top ICC award, marking the first instance of the full integration of the male and female voting academy and awards.

impressive – she smashed 90 off 49 balls, with the Windies eventually going on to clinch a 75-run victory.
The right-hander has played a total of 49 ODIs (with 1927 runs and 61 wickets to her credit) and 33 T20Is (872 runs and 33 scalps) for the national side.
Her career best bowling figures in ODIs have been two 4-wicket hauls – one against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 women at Newcastle in March 2009, and the second against the India women at Basseterre in March earlier this year. She has scored a total of 3 ODI centuries,
with her best being a massive 147 against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Netherlands-c753 women in October 2010 at Potchefstroom.
Her best bowling figures in T20Is include two 3-wicket hauls – one against the England women at Basseterre in November 2009, and the second against the Sri Lanka women in Bridgetown in May this year. Her best performances with the bat in T20Is have included
9 half-tons.

In addition, she has also been nominated for the ICC Women's T20I Cricketer of the Year, and the ICC Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year – both new categories which have been introduced this year.
The award shortlists are due to be announced by the end of August, with the awards ceremony due to take place in Colombo on September 15, prior to the ICC World Twenty20.
