Staff at Cancun all inclusive hotels?

We just got back from a trip to Cancun. I was wondering if anyone knows how many hours a day the staff works at these hotels? We would watch an intense performance (live las vegas style show) that would last until 10:30 pm and then see the same dancers working at 8 am the next morning and all throughout the day out by the pool in the hot sun. I dont know how they do it......Do they live there?

Depending on the hotel, yes, they do live in resort apartments near by but most of the time, no.  They often work 18 hour days for wages we can't fathom.

The answer to your question is Yes, many of them do stay right there at the hotel. Most of them are very, very, young & that's how they survive. Some of them are run aways from other country's too and are starting their lives in Mexico, because they have no where to go. They don't make much money for their work at the hotel but they have a HOME & FOOD. Very nice young people and very hard workers.
