Buckinghamshire failed to make an impression in their first outing and were forced to follow-on after being all-out for 299. The team didn’t manage to post a challenging target for the opposition, as they were bundled-up for 288 in their second innings.

The start to the Staffordshire’s innings was a disappointing one, as they lost opening batsman Aaron Jeavons early. He got out without scoring, but this didn’t hurt the visitors, as they took control of the game.
Ali and Poonia put together 195 runs for the second wicket partnership, taking the momentum away from the opposition. The latter got out after playing a spectacular knock of 134 runs. He hammered 10 fours and nine thunderous sixes in his impressive outing.
The top scorer of the innings was Ali, who ended up with a magnificent 182 runs. His innings included 14 fours and seven massive sixes.
