Stag International signs an agreement with Sports Planet India – Table Tennis news
The most prominent and recognised brand of the table tennis equipment market is STAG. The company has decided to expand their retail presence in the Indian market through Planet Sport. The partnership of the company with Sports Planet will play a prominent
role in popularising the range of products the company has to offer in 15 states of India.
Planet Sports is a well known sports retailers in India and has the capital and manpower to cope with the large customer base and its need throughout the country. This partnership will aim to promote the brand in the country with a properly merchandised
distribution of their table tennis equipment through Planet Sports and their numerous outlets.
Along with Stag, badminton equipment producer, Victor, also forged an agreement. The deal is important as customers prefer buying sports equipments through retailers. This will provide the consumers with a range of top-quality playing equipments that are
easily accessible.
The Stag Company is owned by Vivek Kohli, who is a former table tennis player. The Kohli family has made a major contribution in developing the sport and manufacturing of better sports equipment in India. The company is trying to increase its product range
and market as they develop into a truly global brand.
Talking about the partnership deal, the business head of Stag, Raman Kwatra, said, “As leaders in our respective market categories, it is fitting for Planet Sports and both Stag and Victor to work together to improve the ways customers engage with superior
products, services and support”.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Planet Sport said, “We are delighted to associate with Stag and Victor in India. Planet Sports consumers now have more to choose from our widened basket of sports equipment. This association is yet another initiative
from us to bring the best in sports equipment to our consumers.”
The badminton equipment made by Victor are distributed under Stag International. Stag is currently the sponsor of 23 countries and 40-plus international table tennis teams. The company exports its table tennis equipments in around 152 countries of the world.
They are the leading manufactures of the table tennis equipment in the world and also manufacture table tennis tables. This partnership will bring in long term benefits for the company and towards the playing standards in India.
This might be the first step in making India a powerhouse in table tennis and badminton.
