  1. stage four lung cancer is very dangerous and the most aggressive. The best thing for you to do is check the signs of stage four lung cancer to see how far along it is progressing. I have provided you with a website below.

  2. Get a second opinion from one of the places below. They are National Cancer Institute Designated places

  3. Your grandma did not have brain cancer. She has stage for lung cancer that spread to her brain that is what stage 4 means. However, the rest of your question is a little confusing, as they already know it spread as it was found in her brain.

I’m not sure why the doctor told you she would be fine; maybe he was referring to surgical complications. Where you speaking to the oncologist or the surgeon? Be sure to get all of your information from the oncologist. Maybe your grandma doesn’t want the doctors to tell you how bad her condition is. They have to follow her wishes.

I was close to my grandma too. She died in 1995. I still miss her so much and I am WAY older than you. So I understand what you are going through and I don’t want to be mean, but if you are worried enough to come here and ask questions you need to know the truth. Stage 4 lung cancer is not curable. Doctors do everything they can to extend the patient’s life as much as possible, but they cannot save them. I’m so sorry.

  4. i am sorry to hear about your grandma. It depends whether she has non-small cell lung cancer or small cell lung cancer. I have included a link below. Hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck!

  5. Stage four is the worst, it means the cancer has metastasized, or spread in the body.  The doctor is not going to tell you she's going to die, since the mind is a powerful organ.  My grandfather had stage four lung cancer, was given 6-9 months.  We had him for 4.5 years before he couldn't fight anymore.  A lot depends on her attitude, general health and age, as well as what type of cancer it is, to determine how long she will have.
