Okay so i'm in a play, and i need makeup to wear onstage.

i have brunette hair and hazel eyes, my skin is slightly tan. my hair will be in ringlets.

they said everyone will need foundation, powder, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, lipstick, and blush.

remember i'll be on stage with professional lights so it has to be over dramatic.

my question is what brands and products should i use?

remember i do not have a whole lot of money.

thanksss so much!!

  1. Aw this soundss exciting to shop forrr & do the whole thing haha ok well ...

foundation: Lo'real foundation comes in many colors & is absolutely amazing. i think it works better than expensive brands. about 15$

[buy this at any drug store like walgreens or cvs]

eyeshadow: well, if yourr looking for cheap eyeshadow, go to drug store and find some revlon or loreal ones. otherwise mac is also a cheap option which charges 14$ for one color eyeshadow. I'd suggest you get a palette of eyeshadows with many colors like browns and do a creative color palette on ur eyes with a brown. you can also try doing smokey eyes which owuld look good on a stage

overall i think you should buy more than one eyeshadow colors & also buy some glitter to go on top (ave $ spent mite be 30$)

mascara: DIORR SHOW MASCARA !! (22$)

eyeliner: Almay black liquid eyeliner (7$)

    lipstick: red/brownish ($5)

blush: pinkkkk/reddish ($5) however i have one that costs 30$ and lasts a lifetime by a brand called tarte if u wanna try it

basicallyyy, you can get all these things at either sephora or a drug store

    GOOD LUCKKK & ENJOYYY =]

  2. Alright, when on stage, there are three things that you really have to worry about.

Start by washing your face and applying your basic foundation and powder. Personally, I just put a little bit of powder on since I have a clear, even face but I can't see you so... Pull back your hair using clips or a headband and begin.

Cheeks: You will want to use a dark pink color for this. I recommend TruBlend by Covergirl for this one. Just apply fairly heavily onto your cheek bones, brushing out to your ears and just above and below.

Lips: What I personally do is apply a thin layer of Chap stick [any kind is fine] and then apply a layer of a deep red color. You will want to use a firecracker red sort of color for the stage. I recommend incrediFULL by CoverGirl [once again] in their Maximum red color.

Eyes: Ok, what you want to do is start by applying a de-puffer under and over your eyes if they are puffy for whatever reason. If you are lucky and do not have puffy eyes, good for you and you can skip this step. First, you'll want to apply eyeliner. I personally like the liquid stuff when going on stage because it's much darker and noticeable than the pencil. Once that is done, start with a white or nude base eyeshadow. Reach out to all the way to your brow bones. Also, put some under your eyes as well. Next, you'll want to apply color. Now it depends on whatever character you are playing so this, I can't help you with. I CAN recommend that you get a large set of eyeshadow, full of all different colors. Brand Name Ulta. They are really great and cheap. Next, to add depth to your eyes, use a bronze/brown tone and apply it under you eyes LIGHTLY. Next, simply use some mascara [I like the Dior Blackout brand but it's a little pricey ] and you are done!

  3. it depends on what character you are in the play...id love to help ya just add that

  4. anything that isnt going to irritate your skin. it doesnt really matter just lay it on thick. and go a shade darker on your skin tone for stage makeup because the lights will wash you out.

  5. MAC is GREAT!!

DON'T get max factor they do animal testing!!!

    THEY'RE EVIL!!!

  6. I can't help with the brands, but when I used to dance, here's what I wore:

    dark blue eyeshadow on eyelids

white/light blue underneath brow bone (above eyelid)

    black mascara or fake eyelashes

    rosy blush

foundation slightly darker than my skin tone

    red lipstick

    black eyeliner

    and glitter.

I don't know if this is what your'ew looking for, sorry.
