Question:

Stained toilet seat. (in our RV)?

In our travel trailer there is a brown stain on the toilet seat and on the underside of the lid that rests on top of it. Have tried all types of cleaners to no avail. It is as if it was fused into the plastic. The toilet is in good condition and working order otherwise. It is a special RV type toilet(Thetford) and replacement would be costly. Any advice would be appreciated.

  1. Train everyone who uses suntan dyes to use someone else's toilet. Once your sure it is safe, get a new seat. I've also heard that sometimes when the plastic ages it changes color. Either way, save up your money and get a new seat.

  2. stop pooping on your toilet seat. duh.

  3. Can u try painting it with a certain type of paint?

  4. tell people to stop crapping ON the seat! LOL...jk. Have you tried a bleach?

here's a pretty cheap replacement on ebay

  5. If it's made out of hard plastic you may be able to sand it with a fine grit sandpaper
