Question:

Stains on bathroom tile. How do I get rid of them?

I have 2 spots on the bathroom floor. It is not ceramic tile but that stuff you roll on in sheets that looks like tile. A part by the shower and a small part behind the toilet. Has a yellow hue to it. I don't know if I can remove them or get them to fade.

Anyone have any ideas or tips?

Thank you in advance.

  1. Sounds like water damage. Water has gotten under the vinyl and caused damage to the vinyl from underneath. No way to fix it other than replace.

  2. Your floor is called lanolium flooring.. and I would use this stuff called Bar Keepers Friend.. You can buy it at most grocery stores, or wal-marts.. Its in the comet ile.. It removes yellow stains, and rust. I use it in my toilet and tub when needed due to hard water stains.. WORKS GREAT FOR ME>> Its worth a try.. and its really cheap.. Also 1 thing about lanolium floors, is if you wax them ,they do turn yellow. Try this technic and see , I think you will be happy with the results though.. :)

  6. Scrub with a solution of 1 part ammonia to 4 parts water, then dry with a towel. Apply a thin coat of wax, following the directions on the container.
