Question:

Stains on my mattress?

Ok I know this might seem kind of gross. We bought a new mattress 3 years ago. Ever since these stains have been appearing all over it. All the same color, almost like coke or a dark drink was poured on it. There in all different sizes. I have tried to remove the stains and they'll only fade a little. It makes me cry to see it because I don’t know what they are from and to buy nice things and have them ruined. I have pets and I have a 4 yr old and a husband. My question is does anyone have any idea what these could be from. I use to think it was apple juice from my daughters sippy but I stop giving her drinks in here but they still appear. We never even notice wet spots on the mattress but that might be because we have a heated mattress pad (never on) on the bed and it seems to pull the liquid from the top to under. My daughter has never peed in bed let allow her underwear even from the first day she potty trained. My husband and daughter sweat a lot but I would think that would do it

  1. OK I think that a simple solution is needed. Try using an all cotton hyper allergenic mattress cover. Also I believe those spots can be cause by an activity that well hmmm (I'm not trying to be funny, this has happened to me) two people who are in love do. In the heat of the moment your not thinking I'm gonna stain the mattress but then later no one wants to lay in the "wet" spot...sorry but that's what i think it is. A mattress pad that you put on before your sheets should take care of it. Also some resolve should clean it up! Hope my advise was helpful, I wasn't trying to be silly, just honest!

  2. use a spray product like oxy clean - non chlorine bleach- to get the stains out.  Try a water proof mattress pad instead of the heated one (since you never use it anyway) just to rule out any moisture coming from top side. Then see what happens..other wise, call the manufacturer and see what they make of it..

  3. (maybe you leak during your special week?)

  4. If you have oily skin it could be sweat!  Try to get a mattress pad and change it regularly.

This happened to someone that I knew and he actually went on a cleanse (diet) and one benefit was that this cleared up.  He had real oily skin.

    Hope that helps

    Adieu!
