I recently bought stall gaurd for a 5 day horse show but it has no clips (to clip on to anything) on it all it has are chains. It just looks like a skinny tube with chains Will it still work?

  1. Katie got it ALL right,

i would be leery of having my horses head out in such a public place, unless you were going to be sitting there next to her the WHOLE time.

someone could feed your horse something, or get bitten, your horse could break out (my horse breaks through the double ended clips all the time) the horse could get a cut or scrap, or a horse walking past could attack and there goes your show (and entry fees..)

but, at the same time, if you're sitting there watching her.. go ahead, buy some double ended clips (you'll probably need more then 2, if the door is wider) and have fun at your show!

  2. I wouldnt use that stall guard

  3. Does it look like this?

    Use these clips:

Please reconsider using this stall guard though. Lots of the girls at the shows I go to use them and it is so annoying. It allows your horse to cause problems in the aisles which is inconsiderate and dangerous. Allowing your horse to be involved and look around may seem like a good idea but if he gets nosey and sniffs the wrong horse someone can get seriously hurt. One kick or rear can kill. Please reconsider.

  4. Why do you HAVE to use it? Do the stalls at the show not have doors?

A mesh stall guard is much more secure. I think the kind you have is more to keep horses from leaning on their Dutch doors.
