Stamp collectors...where do I start with this collection?

I have a collection of stamps from all over the world (hundreds of them), most of them have been canceled. Do canceled stamps have any value and if so, how or where can I find out the value of them?

my grandpa is a big stamp collector! i cant help u much, i only know that canceled stamps do have a value, so dont throw them away!
