Stamps going up to 42 cents but you can still buy Forever stamp for 41 cents. So what's the point?

The post office is raising stamps to 42 cents but you can still buy the Forever stamp for 41 cents.

I don't understand this but maybe I'm missing something?

must be error, get the forever stamp and lots of it..wait till you hittin $2 a envelope LOL
