hi

i have been using stanaphone for some time now and was happy with service . suddenly a week ago when i finished all my minutes and tried add funds (20$) to my account 08114391 i just got a message that the transaction was successful and i will get a e mail shortly . Now i am waiting for that e mail for the last one week and i am also not able to make any calls . when i called my credit card company they say that my card has been charged . i tried calling stanaphone on their hot line 1-646-722-9918 a 100 times it goes to voice mail and promises a call back which they have not . i have also tried mailing them with no success . so is stanaphone also a fraud or else what ??? if anyone can help Pl mail me at pavihatch@yahoo.com .

  1. Unfortunately, I think you are the victim of another VoIP company just about to eat dirt......

Based on their home page announcement:

"Please note that we are no longer accepting sign-ups from retail customers.

Existing customers: please log in to your account above."

    https://www.stanaphone.com/

I could be wrong, but the writing appears to be on the wall...

If this is true.... it isn't likely you will get your money back.

Last summer the same thing happened to me with a VoIP service called Allo.com.  They seemed like a good company.... until the went out belly-up!!!  They sent email to all customers announcing they were ceasing commercial VoIP operations and would refund all unused credits to customers with credit balances.....  that was six months ago... and I haven't seen my refund yet.... and they never responded to my queries as to the refund... I don't expect to see that money ever again....

This is another reason I always have "at least" 3 active VoIP service accounts open at any one time.....  These days you never know when you will go to make a call and..... no dial-tone......

When it comes to VoIP.... always have a backup plan....

Just came across this article saying they closed their doors to the public in April 2007...
