Stand To Reason hot favourite for Cheshire Oaks Handicap
Stand To Reason is expected to dominate proceedings in the Cheshire Oaks Handicap at Chester in England on Thursday, May 10, 2012. The winner of the class-3 race will bag a cash prize of £9,057.
The going will be soft in the 1 mile, 2 furlong and 75 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 16:45 GMT. Following are the entries confirmed for the event: Stand To Reason, Calaf, Elizabeth Coffee, Resurge, Cool Macavity, Early Applause, Silver Grey and
Hung Parliament.
Earlier, 10 runners were scheduled to take part in the race, but the names of Granny Mcphee and O Ma Lad have been withdrawn by their respective trainers.
At the moment, the bookmakers believe that Stand To Reason will walk away with a comfortable victory at Chester today. His impressive form will definitely attract a lot of bets from the punters.
The four-year-old colt has taken part in five races until now, winning three of them. He was unable to make a big impression in his debut outing, but started delivering some positive results afterwards.
The Mikael Magnusson’s trainee is in great rhythm at the moment, as he has managed to win his previous two races. He was dominant in his most recent outing, winning by three lengths.
It will be difficult for the other runners to stop Stand To Reason from winning the race at Chester. He will be ridden by veteran jockey, Ryan Moore, who is one of the best in the business. He has enjoyed a lot of success at this level and has got a terrific
strike rate. He will be looking forward to a dominant show yet again.
On the other hand, Calaf is also carrying very good momentum at the moment, thus the punters might risk some bets in his favour as well. He does not have a great strike rate, winning a couple of events out of 16 attempts.
However, the four-year-old gelding managed to win his most recent race, which shows that he is in good form at the moment. He will be partnered by Jamie Spencer, who has been victorious in a lot of events.
Other than the top two favourites, Elizabeth Coffee might also manage to make an impression in the race.
