I was just given a TV by my father that worked fine until one day it was turned on and it had a picture about 4 inches tall the full width of the screen. I'm not exactly sure what to call the problem simply.I'm assuming the issue is more than likely in the vertical deflection circuit but don't have much experience with TV's. I'm well aware of CRT safety, and comfortable with electronics, but am looking for some guidance... I'd like to learn my way around TV's but need a place to start. If I fix it cool... if not I'd like to learn something. The TV is a Toshiba CF3066A, powers on fine, audio is fine, tuner fine, picture not so wonderful. The picture seems to start right in the center of the screen (vertically) and scans up maybe 4 inches. Any help would be appreciated. I could post pictures of the screen if that would help...
