Standard Car?

Can somebody explain how to drive in a standard car? Don't tell me to look in the book because they don't explain it in enough detail and they explain easy parts in extreme detail to the point that it doesn't make sense.

I don't even know how to shift up or down. Help please.

  1. you press in the clutch which is the pedal on the left, then move the stick forward into first gear.

start to slowly let out the clutch while u slowly increase the gas.

you will move forward, let the car aome to about 3000 revs then change gear to second by pulling the stick straight back.

    and so on.

take your foot off the gas when you change gear then xslowly press it again.

its a question of practising in a car park because at first you will judder a lot.

  2. by standard im guessing you mean manual. all you do is when you get into the car press the clutch pedal down along with the brake pedal. then put the gear shifter into first slowly release the brake and clutch and give it a little gas, when you get up to the RPM that you want to shift up at, lets say 4000 rpm. then you let off the gas real quick press the clutch pedal down put the shifter into second, release the clutch and give it the gas.

thats basically how you do it.

  3. If you are that lost, I would STRONGLY recommend getting some instruction from someone who knows.  It is not hard to learn but it is hard to explain.

  4. What specifically is the problem your having? Start in first shift to second then third fourth fifth
