Reports from Friesland confirm that Standard Liege have agreed terms with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Geert-Arend-Roorda-c14501’s signature. The 23-year-old will now undergo a medical examination and should no problem arises, the midfielder will pen down a contract
with the Belgian outfit that will keep him at Stade Maurice Dufrasne until the summer of 2013.
The young midfielder started his professional career at Abe Lenstra Stadion in the 2007/08 season, but never managed to cement his place in the Heerenveen’s playing eleven. He played the season ended on loan at SBV Excelsior, where he netted an exceptional
eight goals in 13 appearances.
The youngster’s impressive performances did not go unnoticed, as a host of European clubs showed keen interest in adding the midfield ace to their ranks in the ongoing summer transfer market. outfit succeeded in luring the 23-year-old away from Abe Lenstra Stadion in their second attempt.
