Im filling out an application for PA teaching. There is a section that lists what areas you are qualified to coach or supervise. How do I know if I am qualified to supervise or coach? Are there specific papers I need? Or does having a BA degree qualify me?

  1. If you don't have teaching certification, you're not qualified to teach anything in PA public schools.

  2. If the question is regarding your ability to teach, which I don't think it is, then you need to be certified in that area.  If the question asks about coaching or supervising that is referring to your personal skills/abilities, such as coaching football because you were assistant coach for the local football team.  They want to know in what other ways you can add to the school community through coaching a sport or being a club adviser.  I would suggest that you only check off those things that you have a good grasp of in case a school holds you to your answers.  I hope this helps.  Good luck finding a job.
