Question:

Standards for showing German Shepherds?

g'day guys. I was looking to show either one, or both of my german shepherd puppies when they're old enough. (I live in Australia if that means anything) Does anyone know any general standards for this breed? For example, I've heard they cannot be fixed. Is this true?

Thanks

  1. G'day from a Pom.  This I am sure upsets you.  You must be gutted that we Poms beat you at the Olympics.  He he.

  3. You need to read and understand the breed standard in your country.  Your kennel club can provide you with one and most likely it is available on-line.  You also might want to have your pups evaluated by someone who competes and wins with German shepherds also.  In most countries, dogs shown in conformation must be intact (no desexed) in order to compete.  There are some exceptions but they are few.  Again you need to read and understand the rules for the kennel club down in the land of OZ,

  4. Here is a link to one Kennel club in Australia and their show classes.  I don't know if this is the only KC or not.
