Correction. Checked my records and the top is Stlia Spruce, not Engelmann.
The Standel E12-N was made for Standel By the Harptone Co. in 1967/68. The E denotes the Eagle model and is a wide waisted Dreadnought. The N denotes a natural finish and was the perfured finish. They also came with a Sunburst finish. they were produced as a budget guitar, but were built very well. Some of the Master Luthiers of Harptone left Guild to work there.
The top is Engelmann Spruce with a wide grain that gives the sound is rich and warm with lots of bass responce. The "N" would have a solid Mahogany neck, Rosewood finger board, and laminated Mahogany sides and back. "NC" denotes Maple neck, sides and back. The back has a contoured shape.
Issues are twisting of the neck, lifting of the bridge, finish checking, seperation of binding, and bowing and or possable need of resetting of the neck. Not uncommon problems for a 40 + year old guitar.
I cannot tell you the value without seeing its condiction and what trim package it has. You may e-mail me with photos showing front, back, headstock front and back, Label, and a photo down the neck from head to body. Eagles have sold for $350 to $ 3000 depending on condiction and market.
