Standing long jump?

I've got pretty long legs, and I'm good at jumping, but how do you do a standing long jump? I have 10 days to train for my competition.

Please help me with deciding what events to do.

  1. build up leg muscle


  2. standing long jump can be tricky becuase, unlike running long jump, you can't use your take off speed to carry you, you must rely on your leg power.

    try planting your feet spread comfortably apart.  get on the tips of  your toes and bend your knees. rock back and forth on your toes to get a rthym and explode up and out driving your arms for extra length. if possible, lift your legs up and fall forward
