Hoffenheim manager Holger Stanislawski furious after the 1-1 draw against Hertha Berlin at home and calls for improvement in the future games.
Hoffenheim drew 1-1 against Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sejad-Salihovic-c32849 in the first-half and were clearly the dominant team throughout the course of 90
minutes.
Stanislawski’s side created a host of chances in the match to go in the lead but the strikers missed some great opportunities to extend the lead. It was an unfortunate end for the hosts as Berlin scored in the dying moments of
the match to earn a point and spoil the home side’s Christmas.
Stanislawski was disappointed with the draw as he felt that it was an easy win for his side. He blasted his defence for making it so easy for the opposition to score in the end and drop two points. He rued missed chances throughout
the match and admitted that the team is making far too many mistakes.
“We played just as we'd hoped until we went ahead, then we practically begged them to equalise. The reason for that was that we're just too stupid. We don't just make mistakes once; we make them five or six times and then wonder
why it's not working,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former FC St. Pauli manager added that the team went on the defensive in the end and were complacent that the visitors would not score. The tactician insisted that some players should take more responsibility and play with
much more determination.
“We were scared of losing it after going 1-0 up and did everything possible wrong. We fluffed our chance to go 2-0 up and after that it was only a question of time until they equalised. Perhaps some people are shirking responsibility,”
he concluded.
Hoffenheim are currently in ninth place on the Bundesliga table with 22 points from the 17 games played so far. They have accumulated six wins and suffered seven losses in the process. Their next Bundesliga game would be against
