Stanley Cup Finals here we come........?

Oh my flippin' lord. The SCFs are here at last. Can you believe it? It seems like yesterday we had Sidney Crosby spraining his ankle.....and it seems like yesterday the Richard Zednik accident happened.

Pittsburgh vs. Detriot.........I don't know if I'm shaking because I'm excited or because I'm scared. Pens haven't faced a team like Detriot this post season....BUT Detriot hasn't faced a team like Pittsburgh either.

This should all be absolutely fun. Schedule here for people who don't know yet....

Btw, I probably won't be on much during this.....I'll be too busy celebrating. lol.....Actually, next week is the last week of school and I have so many finals to study for. Plus my sister is coming up next weekend and we have to start planning her wedding.

both pittsburgh and detroit are coming into the stanley cup finals with huge amounts of confidence. each respectively have dominated the playoffs in there conference. penguins 12-2...red wings....12-4. after saying that....I think the pens will kick some octopie *** in the stanley cup finals! GO PENS BABY!!

I feel like Detroit doesn't stray too far from their plays..

Penguins make plays, but we can maneuver around them if the other team messes them up.

I've always liked the Redwings.  I think they should be able to pull off the win with experience.

This is going to be a final that will go down in history as one of the most entertaining in recent memory, I'll bet you that much. After 4 years of being an avid hockey fan, (9 years) of just being a fan, this will be the first time I haven't had a clear favouritefor the finals. Detroit is one of the most calm teams in the league. Their young talent in Hudler, Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Cleary are definitely helping out while their veteran leadership in Lidstrom, Draper, Chelios and Holmstrom is pushing this team tto new heights every year. Pittsburgh has incredible oung talent in Crosby, Malkin, Malone, Letang, Fleury and Whitney while Gonchar, Hossa and Roberts provide the tough style we remember from many years ago when this clas of players entered the NHL. Personally, I don't know whos going to win but here's my predicions...

If Detroit wins, it will be in 6 because of their tight defense and zero panic level. Pittsburgh will win this in seven if they can continue their offensive charge and if Fleury can keep the solid goaltending going. But this series is not going to be a quick finish like Anaheim and Ottawa or Detroit and Carolina.

I want the Pens to win because I am getting really sick and tried of seeing the Redwings old butt win the cup. It was fine in the 90s but now I'm sick of it.

Let the young ones win it.

Did you purposely misspell Detroit three times as a subtle dig to the Red Wings or did you just not use spell check?

I think it will be a great series.  I have to go to a wedding on Saturday and it is killing me.  The groom is a huge Wings fan so he is trying not to show his disappointment.  At least it isn't a game seven!

All I ask is that the announcers don't try to make it a Sid the Kid show.  That's all I ask!

pittsburgh is undefeated at home, they are 4-2 on the road.  red wings will not win a game in pittsburgh, thats just how it goes, no one has, no one will

i think pittsburgh will win this series in six

detroit will win game 1

pittsburgh will even it in game 2

pittsburgh will win games 3 and 4

detroit will win game 5

pittsburgh will win game 6 on their home ice
