  1. federov. he was a complete player. offense and defense.

bure was a great scorer, to bad his knees are shot.

    BOOM

  2. Federov was one the best 2 way players of the 90's.  Scotty Bowman actually tried playing him on D a couple of times.  Not to mention the dude could score and check.  Overall, i say it's not even close, Federov by a mile.  But, if we're talking scoring, i'd say Bure, dude had an eye for the net.

  3. Bure, if he didn't have glass knees he'd still be playing and averaging over a point per game. Even as a Wings fan I always thought Fedorov was overated.

  4. Fedorov

  5. Bure, no matter what team he played on he always had a ability to score goals, not saying the other ones couldnt, but Bure just seems as the stand out to me

  6. this is a really good question. I would probably have to go with Bure when they were in there prime. All three are pretty close and i couldnt pick who i would go with as number 2. Fedorov has alot of trophies because he played with the wings for so many years so that def makes him look like the go getter but i still think if i had to pick one in there prime it would have been Bure.

  7. fedorov even though i donk like him

  8. That's a good question. Fedorov was good, but he did play on a team loaded with all-stars for most of his career. Bure was good too, but injuries seriously slowed him down. Mogilny has the 2nd best points-per-game average out of the trio (Bure is #1), but he was too inconsistent with his goal scoring (only 3 seasons of 40+ goals). Offensively, I think that Bure was clearly the best. But overall I would also have to go with Fedorov. His points-per-game and goals-per-game are by far the worst of the group, but he was never just an offensive player. He has always been a two-way player, as evidenced by his 2 Selke trophies. He's also a lot more consistent than Bure or Mogilny, he always got either 60 or 80 points in each of his seasons with the Red Wings, including a couple seasons over 100 points (one of those with 120). So yeah, Fedorov was better in my opinion.

  9. I would have to go with Federov.

  10. Fedorov.  Just look at all the other trophies he's accumulated.

  11. I'd have to say Pavel Bure. He was a pure goal scorer in the NHL. I wish he never got the serious injury that forced him to retire.

  12. Pavel Bure was the better player, I know people love to gush about Fedorov Selke's but Selke in a lot of cases is a validation trophy rather then "best defensive forward" how come a strictly penalty killer never wins the award

Bure was also a winger and in most d-zone coverage schemes the wings cover the points and by many accounts was he was told to fly the zone by coach's in order to get breakaways and odd man rushes. So yes Fedorov was a better defensive player because he was a center and had Scotty Bowman for a coach.

Bure skill set was just so much better the Fedorov or Mogilny.

His shot was the best of any lefty handed shooter during his era

His speed was better the Fedorov or Mogilny not just on speed but he had so many gears/speed, just when a D man thought he was in top speed he would throw it in 5th and blow their doors off.

His moves beat those two because he beat the guy and Finish

Bure never had hall-of-famers playing around him so not alone did he accomplish his stats with 2 line or role talent he also did it being the focal point of every team

  13. Good question Id go with Bure though i mean in his prime no one could stop him from scoring Its a shame he never got to go far in the playoffs

  14. Federov took care of both ends of the ice so overall he's the better player
