Stanley meyer's water powered car fact or fiction?

There is news that stanley meyer's full body of research has been discovered, meaning his work can be completed.which is good news but it depends on whose hands it falls in to.If it falls in to a oil company's clutches it will never be seen again.I want too see this invention mass produced.I have seen some footage of him explaining his invention and of professor's who witnessed his work.It looks real to me.WHO thinks it has been done and it is real? if not WHY? I support THE ORION PROJECT

  1. 4H + O2 + q --> 2H2O + Q; where hydrogen oxidizes when subjected to a bit of energy q < Q and forms water plus a lot of energy Q.  This is the chemical basis for getting energy from burning hydrogen as the fuel.  When Q > q in this case, we call the reaction exothermic because it gives off more energy than it uses.

But, and this is a big BUT, q < Q means 2H2O + Q --> 4H + 2O + q is true.  That is, it takes more energy Q to rip water apart into its gases than would be produced by that process.  When Q > q in this reverse direction, we call the reaction endothermic because it takes more energy than it produces.

And that's the bottom line, it takes more energy to cause water to react (and disassociate) than the reaction produces.  There is no exothermic energy produced for use as motive energy.

The only way 2H2O + q --> 4H + 2O + Q to happen is to reduce the tight bonds between the hydrogen and oxygen when forming the water.  And that hasn't yet happened because, once again, it takes energy to reduce the bonds; so, again, the reaction is endothermic.

I'm afraid your web site is scifi, not sci.

  2. True! Check this out!

  3. Likely a hoax.

If it were possible then somebody else would have made a similar discovery, given the proliferation of his ideas.

Even if the Oil Companies purchased the patent, the online community would likely have discovered this and replicated the invention themselves.  Beyond that, Oil companies make many more products beyond gasoline that powers cars.  All plastics asphalt, makeup and various other household products are petroleum derivatives.

  4. It's fiction.

It is not possible to get energy from plain water by chemical means. Splitting water into its components uses up energy rather than producing it.

It's theoretically possible to extract hydrogen from water and then fuse it in a nuclear reaction to produce massive amounts of heat, but this has never been done on earth, and is too difficult to do in a small machine like a car.
