  1. Yep, this is weak. Bettman tried to make it into somthing it is not with the kid. Sad.

  2. it would be sweet if the lowly Pens get shut out in all 4 games!!

  3. As a Wings fan, I'm can't really say I'm disappointed but as an overall hockey fan, I can see where you're coming from.   The Pens, despite losing the first game, seemed to play with a lot more aggression on Saturday night.  If they're going to have any chance, they have to get out there and start showing why they're the Eastern Conference Champions.  I'm by no means rooting for them, but maybe they'll find that aggression once they get back home for games 3 & 4.

  4. d**n...

  5. Only 2 games down, and their going to Pittsburgh now, so watch out for a turnaround.

  6. This is painful, I hope Badger Bob isn't watching.

  7. Very disappointed. This is the first year in a longtime that I have been able to watch the finals. I am usually working afternoons and it is super boring hockey and the Penguins look confused and unenergetic. They need to pick it up soon or this will be over in a hurry. Could be the first final in a longtime to be over in May.

  8. does this remind anyone of the 95 finals?

  9. Well the Wings have been up 2-0 going into game 3 in all 3 series so far. The Penguins have been as well, but this is the first time they haven't had home-ice advantage. Who knows, maybe the Pens will win both at home. Don't count your eggs before they hatch.

  10. Turning into a disappointment for PItt, their fans, and BETTMAN!

I am personally disappointed, I was expecting more from this Eastern Conf. Red Wing type team, however, like I answered during last game....The PENS look like Bantams out there. Total domination. Sorry for the PeNS fans. Your time is coming, just not this year!

Have to agree REPEAT, this is more like a clinic on what it takes AS A TEAM to reach the next level and PITT unfortunately is the scrimmage squad!

  11. This series sucks. I dont even know why I wasted 2 nights of my life for this ****. I was expecting something exciting.

How can this be good for hockey?

  12. i'm not disappointed at all!

and i agree that we can't count our eggs before they turn into chickens... or something like that.

  13. The best of the East simply can't compete with the best of the West the past two seasons... and I wasn't expecting Pittsburgh to prove otherwise. The Penguins are the class of the East for sure, but I don't think for a moment they're even the second best team in the league... perhaps as low as 4th or even 5th.

It's a shame that Detroit didn't have to beat Anaheim or San Jose on the way to the finals. That's not to say they don't absolutely deserve to be where they are right now, but those are the only two teams that would have had a shot at beating them.

Answer to your question: No surprise. The East Coast media hype had Ottawa destroying the Anaheim last year, and we all know how that turned out. No difference this time either.

  14. right now the pens are basically climbing a hill and once they get that first goal / get to the top, i believe it will be all downhill for them from there
