I just recently watched the latest Star Wars films, I was curious if there were any plans to remaking the 4th movie? I know it's been atleast 5 years since Episode 3 came out.

Does anyone know?

  1. I really hope not, as the last set of remakes on them, "the special edition", were really horrible and changed some of the basic aspects of the plot.  (making Han less of a scoundrel and the like)

  2. I haven't heard anything about remaking it but I have heard the Lucas wants to make 3-D versions of the entire Star Wars saga.

  3. It's only been three years since Episode III was released, and the clone Wars (the new animated one) has just started playing in theaters, so if there were any plans, it wouldn't be any time soon.

I haven't heard any credible rumors about it, though.

  4. GEORGE LUCAS SAID ACTORS WANT TO MUCH MONEY THESE DAYS AND HE`S A PENNY PINCHER.PLUS HIS A GRUMPY OLD STUBBORN FAR.

  5. Depends on your definition of "remake".  There are 3 different versions of the OT out there ... the Original uncut versions ... the SE versions (only available on VHS and a little hard to find) ... and the DVD versions.

If you mean redoing the movies with new actors and all the best CGI the answer is a big fat written in stone no.

I don't know where "roady101" got his "info" but it's all basically wrong.  They are NOT remaking the OT (Original Trilogy) with all new actors and better CGI ...

What Lucas IS doing right now was confirmed by him in an article in Entertainment Weekly in which he said they were hard at work converting all 6 movies to a 3-D format for re-release in theaters.

  6. dont think there is, it has been enhanced many times, i have a very old copy which is not enchanced and i prefer it. also why ruin a classic? :P

  7. no.

  8. I don't think so. Episode IV have been retouched so many times in many different aspects that it would be too redundant. It would be an insult to anyone who worships the original series. However we all know that Lucas sells even 3-PO's underwear; so who knows.

  9. yes, they're remaking the 4th, 5th, and 6th movie

with different actors, and better graphics...

i honestly think its gonna suck... they should

    leave it alone...

  10. No , lucas said no more work in the traditional movie format

see the new clone wars movie for example of notraditonal venue
