In science we watched Star Wars (not sure which one). I dont really like Star Wars and i wasnt watching (oops). Now i have to answer the following questions;

1. Name one situation where the law of gravity was broken.

2. Name one situation where Newton's 1st law was broken.

3. Name one situation where Newton's 2nd law was broken.

4. Name one situation where Newton's 3rd law was broken.

5. How can you relate what you have learned this year about the magnetosphere with force fields?

6. Sound can not exist unless it travels through a medium. Where is this violated?

7. Why is it unusual that Luke, Han and the others can walk while inside the millennium factor?

8. Light sabers are supposedly made of plasma. What is plasma?

I am going to work on these questions myself (so technically im not cheating) but some help would be GREAT!

ps. yes i know i should have watched, but i didnt - too late.

  1. chances are you watched the original movie.

1.) I guess he is looking for any time when they take off away from a planet without visible engine glare (though the repulsor lift drives could explain this in-universe)

I really don't know how it ever violates Newtonian physics, I personally think your teacher has a vendetta against star wars.

5.)  He is probably trying to link their shapes together.

6.)  Space battles.  Although, it has been suggested in the novelizations that the sounds are actually part of the flight computers to add an auditory sense for the pilot's benefit, rather than actually being incorrect, as it would seem in the films.

7.)  The MF has artificial gravity.  Without it, they would be floating around.

8.)  plasma = fourth state of matter past gas (solid, liquid, gas, plasma)

    I hope this helps.

  2. just pick a fight scene and point...they break all kinds of laws all the time in every movie...

PS...LAWS ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN

  3. waa... so nerdy....

  4. You could always rent the dvd and watch it again. Armed with the questions this tim eit should be a doddle!
