  1. Um... yeah... you haven't been keeping up with the news, have you?  Starbucks is actually closing locations... if you have no experience, there's a good chance they'll take someone who does over you.  Your better option is to try to find a local cafe and learn the basics there, then move on to Starbucks.

  2. You have to be 16 to work there at most locations, but some managers require you to be 17/18.

You start off at 8.50 in most stores, 9 dollars at some stores.

And its pretty easy to mix their drinks if your a regular customer.

It was OKAY working there, but its really not a job to keep over a long period of time. Its alot of work for not alot of money, and sometimes, you just want to throw a steaming hot latte at some customers that are plain out stupid.

Other than that, they'll train you on making the drinks. It should take you about two weeks to master everything, but i dont recommend starting at around christmastime, thats the worst time to work there. Try starting in the summer!

  3. Everything really varies on the location and the managers.

Where I live, the standard age to be working in a Starbucks is sixteen and the starting wage is nine dollars per hour, plus potential raises, amount depending on the managers and your performance.

The drinks take a bit, but after the first shift you'll have the basic drinks pretty much memorized. Most coffee shops, not sure about Starbucks though, have cheat sheets where it shows you what goes into each drink and a brief instruction. All the drinks are variations on about five different base drinks.

As for it being a nice place to work, it really depends on if it's the kind of job that you suit, your location and the people you work with, in addition to other factors. I work in a coffee shop and I'm in a gorgeous location, all my co-workers are super nice and I just love what I do. Right now, it's the best job I could ask for.
